Every well-adjusted adult – regardless of political affiliation – surely understands that the current craze sweeping through the medical community regarding children and gender reassignment surgery, is beyond insane. Finally, the medical community is demonstrating some ethics and starting to pump the breaks. Bari Weiss, the former New York Times editor who made headlines last year when she quit her job and publicly called out the paper for its lack of editorial standards, has been publishing great articles on Substack recently. On Monday, she allowed a guest poster to publish on her substack – Abigail Shrier, author of popular book “IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters” (2020). Shrier posted a fascinating article, in which she interviews two of the leading gender reassignment surgeons on the world, including the surgeon who worked on “Jazz” of the hit TLC reality show, “I am Jazz.”
Both doctors have publicly come out to decry the current newly-accepted medical norms of allowing – often pushing – children to go forward with life altering gender reassignment surgeries and “therapies” such as steroids, estrogen and puberty blockers. One of the doctors wrote an Op-ed on the subject and sent it to the New York Times, they declined to publish it and told her that is it was “outside our coverage priorities right now.”
Let that soak in for a minute…
You can read the article here, on Bari Weiss’ substack entitled “Common Sense.”
